Terms and Conditions
Last updated September 28, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of nationaleviction.com and its related pages, forms and email communications (together, the "Site"), operated by National Eviction LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company ("National Eviction," "we," "us" or "our"). By using the Site, creating an account, claiming a listing or purchasing a plan, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. What the Site is
National Eviction is an online directory of attorneys and law firms that represent landlords and property managers in eviction and landlord-tenant matters, together with state-by-state informational guides about the eviction process. We are a directory and publisher. We are not a law firm, we do not practice law, and we do not refer, recommend or vouch for any attorney listed on the Site.
2. No legal advice and no attorney-client relationship
Everything on the Site, including the state guides, blog articles, FAQs and listing descriptions, is general information and is not legal advice. Eviction law changes frequently and varies by state, county and city, and a guide may be out of date or may not apply to your situation. Using the Site, submitting a form or contacting an attorney through the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship with us or with any listed firm. Any relationship with an attorney is formed only by a separate agreement between you and that attorney. Always consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction before acting.
3. Attorney listings
Listings are compiled from public sources, from information submitted by the firms themselves, and from claims and edits made by verified listing owners. We make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate, but we do not verify bar admission, licensure, disciplinary history, insurance, fees, practice focus or the truth of any statement in a listing. "Verified," "Featured," "Standard" and similar labels describe the listing's status on the Site (for example, that the owner has confirmed the listing or purchased a plan); they are not endorsements, rankings or certifications of legal ability. You are responsible for evaluating any attorney before hiring them.
A firm that does not want to appear in the directory may ask us to remove or edit its listing by emailing info@nationaleviction.com. We will honor such requests promptly.
4. Consultation requests and leads
When you submit a consultation request through the Site, we store the information you provide and forward it to the attorney or firm you selected (or, for firms on the free Basic plan, to our team so that we can notify the firm). By submitting a request you consent to that information being shared with the firm and to the firm contacting you by email or phone. We do not control how a firm responds, whether it responds, or the terms it offers, and we are not a party to any engagement between you and a firm.
5. Accounts, claims and listing owners
Attorneys and firm representatives may create an account to claim, edit or add a listing. You must be authorized to act for the firm you claim. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of everything you publish in a listing, including compliance with the attorney advertising and professional conduct rules of every jurisdiction in which you practice. We may edit, suspend or remove any listing or account, at any time and without notice, if we believe it is inaccurate, misleading, unauthorized, unlawful or harmful to the Site. Keep your login credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account.
6. Paid plans, billing and cancellation
Standard and Featured plans are monthly subscriptions billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are shown on the For Attorneys page before purchase and may change with at least 30 days' notice by email. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel, switch plans or update payment details at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and your listing then returns to the free Basic plan. Fees already charged are non-refundable except where required by law or where we, at our discretion, agree otherwise. If a payment fails, we may downgrade the listing to Basic after notice.
7. Reviews and user content
Visitors may submit reviews of listed firms. Reviews are moderated before publication and we may decline, edit for length or remove any review at our discretion. By submitting a review, listing content, logo, description or other material ("User Content") you confirm that it is truthful, that you have the right to publish it, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or violate any law or professional rule. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, reproduce and distribute User Content on and in connection with the Site. You must not submit reviews of your own firm, reviews written in exchange for anything of value, or reviews that reveal confidential client information.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site to violate any law; to harass, defame or impersonate anyone; to submit false, misleading or unauthorized information; to send unsolicited commercial messages; to scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk-download listings, contact details or content (other than through search engines indexing public pages); to probe, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems; or to interfere with our security or spam-prevention measures.
9. Intellectual property
The Site, including its design, text, state guides, articles, logos, compilations and software, is owned by National Eviction or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Firm names and logos in listings belong to the respective firms. You may view and print pages for personal or internal business use. Any other reproduction, redistribution or commercial use requires our prior written consent.
10. Third-party sites and services
The Site links to attorney websites, court and government resources and other third-party sites, and uses third-party services (including Stripe for payments, Cloudflare Turnstile for spam prevention, Supabase for hosting and authentication, Vercel for delivery, Resend for email and OpenStreetMap for maps). We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of third parties.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and all content, listings and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any listing, guide or lead will produce any particular result.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, National Eviction and its owners, employees, contractors and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, clients or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Site, any listing, any attorney you contact through the Site, or these Terms. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless National Eviction and its owners, employees, contractors and affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms or of any law or professional rule, or any engagement between you and another user of the Site.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or your account at any time for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Sections 2, 3, 7, 9 and 11 through 16 survive termination.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of the Site or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when they last changed. Material changes affecting paid plans will also be announced by email to listing owners. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Contact
Questions about these Terms, listing removal requests and notices should be sent to info@nationaleviction.com or by mail to National Eviction LLC, 82 County Rd, PMB #57, Mattapoisett, MA 02739. See also our Privacy Policy and Accessibility Statement.
