Accessibility Statement

National Eviction wants every landlord, property manager and attorney to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, voice control or other assistive technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act guidance and Section 508.

What we have done

• Every page has a logical heading structure, a descriptive title and a “Skip to main content” link that appears when you press Tab.
• The whole site can be operated with a keyboard. Links, buttons and form fields show a visible focus outline.
• Text and interactive elements meet the WCAG AA color-contrast minimums, including the gold accent links.
• Form fields have visible labels, error messages are announced in text, and the spam check we use (Cloudflare Turnstile) is designed to work with assistive technology.
• Images have text alternatives; firm logos fall back to the firm’s initials when an image cannot load, and decorative icons are hidden from screen readers.
• Star ratings, badges and status labels are announced in words, not only by color or shape.
• The attorney map is supplementary: every attorney shown on a map is also listed in the text list on the same page, with the same links and contact details.
• Pages are responsive and reflow to 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling, and text can be resized to 200 percent in the browser.
• Animations and smooth scrolling are turned off for visitors whose device is set to reduce motion.

Known limitations

• The interactive map (OpenStreetMap tiles through Leaflet) is not fully keyboard operable. Use the attorney list on the same page instead; nothing is available only through the map.
• Attorney descriptions and logos are supplied by the firms themselves or imported from public sources, so their quality varies. If a listing is hard to read or an image lacks a useful description, tell us and we will fix it.
• Some state eviction guides link to court forms and statutes on third-party government websites whose accessibility we do not control.

If you have trouble using any part of this site, or if you would like information from it in another format, email info@nationaleviction.com with the page address and a description of the problem. We aim to reply within two business days and to fix confirmed barriers promptly.

How we test

We check new pages with automated tools (axe and Lighthouse), keyboard-only navigation and screen-reader spot checks (VoiceOver and NVDA). This statement is reviewed whenever the site’s design or major features change.
