How listings work

A directory, not a referral service

National Eviction is a directory of attorneys who represent landlords in evictions. We are not a law firm and not a lawyer referral service. We do not recommend, rate or endorse any attorney, and nothing on this site is legal advice. You choose which firm to contact.

Who is listed

We list firms that represent landlords or property managers in evictions. Each listing says whether the firm acts only for landlords or for both landlords and tenants. Most listings are compiled from public sources such as firms’ own websites and bar listings, and firms can add their own listing. We do not audit or vet firms. If a listing is wrong, tell us and we will correct or remove it.

How listings are ordered

Listings on paid plans appear first: Featured listings (labeled “Featured”), then Standard listings. After those, listings are ordered by average review rating and then alphabetically. Order is not a ranking of the firms’ quality or a recommendation.

What happens to a consultation request

• Sent from a firm’s page: the request goes to that firm only. If the firm has not yet confirmed its listing, we tell the firm a landlord asked to speak with them, and they see your details once they confirm it.
• Sent without choosing a firm: we show you up to three listed firms and email you the same list. We don’t send your details to any firm. The three are picked by a fixed rule, never by a person: firms in your city first, then Featured listings, then alphabetical.
• If a firm you chose hasn’t responded in two days: we email you up to three other listed firms, picked by the same rule.
• Requests that look like spam or advertising are held for review and reach a firm only if a reviewer confirms they are genuine.

What firms pay

A listing is free, confirming it is free, and consultation requests are free. We never charge per request, per client or per case, and we never take any part of a legal fee.

Firms can choose an optional paid plan. Plan prices are flat and do not change with the number of requests a firm receives:

• Standard, $39 a month: Website, email and social links; Your logo on your profile and search results; Full firm description; Listed ahead of free listings in search results.
• Featured, $89 a month: Featured badge and top placement in your state; Highlighted listing card in search results; Homepage rotation.
